Elena Grinenko (born December 14, 1976) is a professional ballroom dancer from Russia. She is well-known for her appearances on the ABC series Dancing With the Stars and as a national and world title holder in ballroom dancing.
Grinenko grew up in Moscow, Russia and immigrated to the United States at the age of 21. She owns a ballroom dance studio located in Los Angeles County, California.
She has achieved considerable success with her partner Tony Dovolani, becoming undefeated U.S. and World Rhythm Champions.
In terms of her personal life, Grinenko has a younger sister named Anastasia Grinenko. Her parents Lubov and Yuriy Grinenko divorced when she was a teenager. Elena married Rib Hillis whom she met through ABC while he was working on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The couple has two sons named Magnus Zander Hillis and Odin Harley Hillis.
