Eileen Brennan was an American TV actress, born on September 3, 1932 in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for her role as Captain Doreen Lewis in the 1980 film “Private Benjamin” and the subsequent television adaptation.
Brennan also appeared in the 1985 film “Clue.” Before gaining fame, she honed her acting skills with the Mask and Bauble Society at Georgetown University.
She received an Emmy nomination for her guest-starring role on “Will and Grace.” In 1968, Brennan married David John Lampson.
