Dua Lipa is an English pop singer who won two Grammy Awards in 2019 – one for Best New Artist and the other for her hit song “Electricity” with Silk City. She’s also known for songs like “New Love”, “Be the One”, “New Rules”, and “IDGAF”. When she was 15, Dua worked as a waitress while living on her own in London. Her popularity grew when she started posting covers on YouTube. In 2020, her second album Future Nostalgia became a number one album in the UK and featured the hit single “Don’t Start Now” which peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. She even became a playable character in FIFA 21! Dua’s parents are from Kosovo – they moved to London when she was 11 and then back to Kosovo when she was 15. Her dad (musician Dukagjin Lipa) inspired her to pursue music professionally. She has a sister (Rina) and brother (Gjin). In 2019, she began dating Anwar Hadid but they announced their separation in December 2021; before that, Dua had been with Paul Klein of LANY fame and British chef Isaac Carew. Lana Del Rey helped produce Lipa’s first single “New Love”.
