Dorothy Schroeder, born on April 11, 1928 in Illinois, was a notable American baseball player. She gained recognition as a three-time All-Star shortstop and founding member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Prior to her sports career, she sang in the choir of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sadorus, Illinois.
Schroeder achieved the longest career among all AAGPBL players and became the all-time leader in games and RBIs while ranking second in hits. She had an impactful family life with a twin brother named Don and an older brother named Walter.
