Dorothy Moore (born October 13, 1946) is an R&B and soul singer from Jackson, Mississippi. She is best known for her hit song “Misty Blue,” released in 1976.
Before gaining fame as a solo artist, Moore sang with the all-girl group The Poppies while attending Jackson State University. In 2002, she started her own record label called Farish Street Records.
Moore was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi.
