Doon Mackichan, born on August 7, 1962 in London, England, is a British actress and comedian best known for her work on television series such as Smack the Pony and Plebs. She has also had success in film, notably appearing in The Borrowers (1997) and providing voice work for The Sea Beast (2022). Prior to her acting career, she studied drama at Manchester University. In 1998, she was part of a relay team that swam the English Channel. Additionally, Doon Mackichan received a BAFTA Television Award nomination for her role in Plebs in 2014. From 1997 to 2005, she was married to actor Anthony Barclay with whom she shares three children.
