Donna Caponi is a professional female golfer, born on January 29, 1945 in Michigan. Known for her accomplishments in the sport, she has won twenty-four LPGA Tour events and secured victory in four Majors. Her contribution to golf was recognized when she received the PGA First Lady of Golf Award in 2009.

Caponi’s affinity for golf started at the young age of five and quickly became evident as she clinched victory at the Los Angeles Junior Championships in 1956. Following her retirement from competitive play, she transitioned into a role as a Golf Channel announcer.

In acknowledgment of her illustrious career and significant impact on the sport of golf, Donna Caponi was rightfully honored with induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Notably, her father Harry played an instrumental role in teaching her to play golf.

More recently, Caponi added another chapter to her personal life when she married Edward Byrnes in July 2006.
