DJ Semtex, born on November 22, 1974 in Manchester, England, is a British disc jockey best known for his role as the presenter of the flagship hip-hop show on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
Before gaining fame, he started hosting weekly shows in Manchester during the early ’90s and has since gone on to open shows for notable artists such as Mos Def, Wyclef Jean and Asher Roth.
An interesting fact about DJ Semtex is that he had to undergo an amputation at age sixteen due to Lymphangioma. This resulted in him having just one arm.
