Dina Titus (born May 23, 1950) is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party who first took office as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Nevada in January 2009.
Titus was born in Thomasville, Georgia and has had a successful career both in politics and academia. She taught political science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for three decades.
Before her career in politics, Titus earned a Ph.D. from Florida State University after completing her master’s degree at the University of Georgia.
