About Dianne Feinstein
Dianne Feinstein, born on June 22, 1933 in San Francisco, California, is a prominent American politician. She made history as the first female Mayor of San Francisco and has been serving as a United States Senator from California since 1992. In 2009, she became the Chairwoman of the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
Before entering politics, Feinstein earned a degree in history from Stanford University and later served as President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
An interesting fact about Feinstein is that she assumed the position of Mayor of San Francisco after Mayor George Moscone was assassinated by her colleague Dan White. White was also responsible for the assassination of Harvey Milk.
In her personal life, Feinstein married her third husband, Richard C. Blum, in 1980 after the passing of her second husband Bertram Feinstein in 1978. She has one daughter named Katherine.
