Diane Ladd, born on November 29, 1935 in Meridian, Mississippi, is a renowned movie actress. In the early 1990s, she shared the screen with her daughter Laura Dern in the films Rambling Rose and Wild at Heart. Her film credits also include Ghosts of Mississippi, 28 Days and American Cowslip. Before embarking on an acting career, she earned a Master’s degree in psychology.
One of her notable roles was playing Flo in the film Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore for which she received an Academy Award nomination. Diane Ladd married Bruce Dern in 1960 and they had two daughters before separating in 1969.
