Diana Hyland was an American stage and screen actress born on January 25, 1936, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. She is best known for her role alongside Paul Newman in the 1959 Broadway production of Tennessee Williams’ Sweet Bird of Youth. Her film and television credits include appearances in The Chase, The Twilight Zone, and The Fugitive.
Hyland made her on-screen debut in a 1955 episode of Robert Montgomery Presents. She also briefly played Dick Van Patten’s wife in the television show Eight is Enough. After divorcing actor Joe Goodson, she briefly dated John Travolta.
