About Di Botcher
Di Botcher is a Welsh TV actress known for her roles in film, television, and stage productions. She was born on June 2, 1959, in Port Talbot, Wales.
Botcher has had recurring roles in several soap opera series including Downton Abbey as Nanny West, Coronation Street as Debbie Allinson, and Casualty as Jan Jennings.
Prior to her acting career, she studied English and Drama at Warwick University and trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Her on-screen acting debut came in 1986 with the role of Officer Kyle on the series Screen Two. She also appeared in Twin Town (1997) for her feature film debut.
In addition to her acting work, Botcher has been involved in commercial projects including appearances in advertisements for the Post Office.
She hails from Taibach, Port Talbot, Wales.
