About Dewi Hughes
Dewi Hughes (born March 2, 1971) is an Indonesian TV show host known for her work on programs such as Dream of Yee Kali, Night Wind and Heart To Heart. She is also the author of the children’s book “You Can Be A Presenter Too.” Outside of television, Hughes is a social activist and serves as the spokesperson for the National Campaign for the Elimination of Human Trafficking in Indonesia.
Before entering the world of television, Hughes graduated from Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia in 1995. In addition to her media work, she founded the Dewi Hughes Foundation International which provides alternative education for children.
Her parents are Putu Hermawati and Dewa Made Sumarta. She married activist Roy Immanuel in 2006.
