About Desiree Lowry
Desiree Lowry (born June 25, 1972) is a Puerto Rican model who was crowned Miss Puerto Rico in 1995. She achieved 5th place at the 1996 Miss World beauty pageant and went on to direct the Miss Universe Puerto Rico beauty pageant from 2009 to 2018.
Prior to her pageant success, Lowry won the title of Miss Corozal, which made her eligible for the Miss Puerto Rico competition. She has also hosted several TV shows for Telemundo Puerto Rico, including De Magazin and Fin De Semana in 2010, as well as Anda Pal’ Cara’ for Univision Puerto Rico.
Lowry’s father is of Irish-American descent while her mother is of Puerto Rican descent.
