About Desiree Castellano
Desiree Castellano is an American family member, best known as the mother of Talia Joy, who tragically passed away at the age of 13 due to neuroblastoma. Following her daughter’s passing, Castellano founded Talia’s Legacy Children’s Cancer Foundation with the aim of supporting research and children battling cancer. The foundation provides makeup lessons sponsored by Cover Girl to help children feel more beautiful.
Prior to her philanthropic work, Desiree attended Valencia College and has a background in the skincare and makeup industry. She earned her Medical Aesthetic license in 1995 and has since garnered a strong following on social media through her momma_joy Instagram account, where she shares career promotions, family milestones, and memorial posts for Talia.
Aside from her charitable efforts, Desiree also has another daughter named Mattia Joyce who works alongside her on behalf of the foundation. Additionally, she is a grandmother to Leo – Mattia’s son.
