Denise Nicholas is a TV actress best known for her role as Liz McIntyre in the show Room 222. She was born on July 12, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan. Before gaining fame as an actress, she was featured on the cover of Jet magazine in 1960 and went on to graduate from high school in 1961.
Nicholas received three consecutive Best Actress Golden Globe Nominations for her portrayal of Liz McIntyre. Additionally, she starred as Harriet Gillespie on In the Heat of the Night from 1989 to 1995.
In her personal life, Denise Nicholas divorced from her third husband, Jim Hill, in 1984.
