Demetria McKinney is an American model, singer, and TV actress best known for her role as Janine Payne on the TBS series House of Payne from 2006 to 2012. She was born on August 27, 1979 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She began her acting career in the stage production of Tyler Perry’s play Meet the Browns and later appeared in The Rickey Smiley Show.
McKinney has also had film roles in Daddy’s Little Girls and Breaking Up is Hard to Do. She comes from a large family and is the second oldest of nine siblings. At the age of seventeen, she became a single mother to her son whom she raised on her own.
In 2016, McKinney became engaged to Roger Bobb but called off their engagement by the end of that year.
