About Debra Ponzek
Debra Ponzek is an internationally-acclaimed chef and author, known for her work on The Food Network’s Sarah’s Secrets and Cooking Live as well as major outlets such as CBS, NBC and PBS. Born in New Jersey on August 26, 1961, Ponzek initially pursued a degree in biomedical engineering at Boston University before discovering her passion for cooking.
Ponzek has authored several cookbooks including The Dinnertime Survival, The Family Kitchen, and The Summer House. She was named the Rising Star Chef of the Year by the James Beard Foundation and later Chef of the Year by the Chefs in America Association.
In 1994, she married Greg Addonizio with whom she co-opened Aux Delices restaurant.
