About Darcey Steinke
Darcey Steinke (born April 25, 1962) is an American novelist and creative writing professor. She is best known for her novels such as “Up Through the Water” and “Suicide Blonde”, as well as her 2007 memoir “Easter Everywhere”. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a M.F.A. in creative writing before receiving a Stegner Fellowship to study at Stanford University.
Steinke was also a guitarist for Ruffian, a New York rock band. Born in Virginia to a Lutheran minister father, she married Michael Hudson in 2009.
