Dana Williams, born on July 17, 1989 in the United States, is a pop singer and songwriter. She gained recognition after finishing fourth on the ABC singing competition Rising Star. Her career received a significant boost when she appeared in the widely praised Apple commercial “The Song” and released her debut EP The Lonely One in 2014.

Before achieving fame, Dana performed “Hard Knock Life” with Jay Z on television when she was in fourth grade. Notably, she attended middle school with actress Leighton Meester and has collaborated with her on YouTube duets.

Furthermore, Dana’s father is David Williams—a renowned guitarist who has worked with artists such as Madonna and Michael Jackson.
