About Dana Rettke
Dana Rettke (born January 21, 1999) is an American volleyball player known for her achievements with the University of Wisconsin Badgers women’s volleyball team and Vero Volley Monza in the Italian Serie A1 League. She has also represented the U.S. national team and earned All-Big Ten recognition throughout her college career.
Rettke began her athletic journey by playing basketball in first grade before transitioning to volleyball in ninth grade. Despite receiving interest from various universities in the Big Ten Conference, she chose to focus on volleyball.
Notably, Rettke received the Illinois Player of the Year award and garnered multiple All-American distinctions during her senior year, including selections to the USA Today first team and the American Volleyball Coaches Association second team. Standing at 6’8″, she is notably tall for a female athlete.
Rettke was raised in Riverside, Illinois.
