About Dafne Schippers
Dafne Schippers, born on June 15, 1992 in Utrecht, Netherlands, is a renowned athlete known for her career competing in the track & field heptathlon and sprinting events. In 2015, she achieved great success by winning the gold medal for the 200 meter event at that year’s World Championships and setting the then-European record for the event with a time of 21.63 seconds.
Schippers began participating regularly in athletics at age 9 and made her major debut at the 2009 European Junior Championships where she finished in 4th place. She also competed at the 2012 Olympics in London in both heptathlon and 4×100 meter events.
She has had various achievements including winning gold at the European Indoor Championships in the 60 meter sprint as well as representing her country on numerous prestigious platforms.
