Cynthia Cooper-Dyke, born on April 14, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois, is a former standout WNBA player and Olympic Gold Medalist. She is best known for her time with the Houston Comets.
Before achieving fame as a basketball player, Cynthia grew up in South Central Los Angeles without a father and among seven siblings.
In addition to her professional sports career, she also coached basketball for the UNC Seahawks. In 2001, she married Brian Dyke and they became parents to twins Brian Jr. and Cyan on June 15th of the following year.
