Flanagan gained recognition as a regular cast member of Mad TV, where she worked alongside Bobby Lee. Before entering the entertainment industry, she attended the University of Evansville and UC Irvine, majoring in Theater.
In addition to her work on Mad TV, Flanagan also played the role of Hermione Granger in the spoof film Epic Movie.
