About Corin Tellado
Corin Tellado, born on April 25, 1927 in Spain, was a prolific Spanish novelist best known for her bestselling romance novels. Her most famous work is the 1991 novel “Lucha Oculta.” Tellado gained popularity by publishing weekly fiction pieces for the popular magazine Vanidades.
Before finding success as a novelist, she received her education at a Catholic school and developed a voracious love of reading during her childhood. In 1946, Tellado published her debut novel, “Atrevida apuesta.”
Tellado’s remarkable career led to her being listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the author with the largest number of published Spanish-language novels. The breadth of her work has left an indelible mark on the literary world.
In terms of family life, Tellado’s father worked as a mechanic in the Merchant Navy during the Spanish Civil War. She married Domingo Egusquizaga in 1959 and together they had a son and daughter before separating in 1962.
