Constance McCashin, born on June 18, 1947 in Illinois, is a television actress known for her portrayal of Laura Avery Sumner on the long-running series Knots Landing from 1979 to 1993. In addition to her TV work, she also appeared in the 1990 film Naked Tango.
Prior to her breakout role, McCashin made appearances on TV shows such as Brooklyn Bridge and game shows like $25,000 Pyramid and Super Password.
Following her acting career, she transitioned into a new profession as a therapist in Massachusetts after marrying Sam Weisman and starting a family with two children.
