About Connie Willis
Connie Willis, born on December 31, 1945 in Colorado, is an American science fiction writer known for her imaginative works. She received the coveted Hugo Award in 2011 for her two-volume time travel series Black Out/All Clear. Among her other popular novels are Doomsday Book (1992) and To Say Nothing of the Dog (1998).
Prior to achieving literary success, she attended the University of Northern Colorado and published her first fantasy story titled The Secret of Santa Titicaca in 1970. Notably, she was honored with a Nebula Award for her short story Fire Watch in 1982.
Outside of her writing career, Connie married physics professor Courtney Willis and together they raised a daughter named Cordelia.
