About Colleen Atwood
Colleen Atwood, born on September 25, 1948 in Yakima, Washington, is an Academy Award-winning costume designer renowned for her work on films such as Chicago (2002), Memoirs of a Geisha (2005), and Alice in Wonderland (2010). She has also received nominations for her contributions to Sleepy Hollow, Nine, and Into the Woods. Prior to gaining fame in the film industry, Atwood studied painting at Cornish College of the Arts before embarking on a career at various boutiques. It was during her art studies at New York University that she stumbled upon a job opportunity as a production assistant for a film.
In addition to her work in film, Atwood’s talents have been showcased on television shows including Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl. On the personal front, she raised two daughters named Tracey and Charlotte who were born in 1987 and 1989 respectively.
