About Clinton Leupp
Clinton Leupp, born August 27, 1965 in New York City, is an American actor best known for his stage and drag persona Miss Coco Peru. Leupp gained recognition through roles in the films Trick and Girls Will Be Girls. The latter performance earned him Best Actress honors at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival and a Best Actor award at LA’s Outfest Film Festival.
Prior to gaining fame, Leupp started as a favorite of downtown cabaret clubs in New York City during the early 1990s. Throughout his career, he has made guest appearances on various TV series including How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development, and Will & Grace.
Miss Coco Peru has also performed numerous live solo shows that have garnered several MAC and GLAAD nominations and awards such as Miss Coco Peru at the Westbeth Theatre and Miss Coco Peru is Undaunted.
Leupp was raised in The Bronx borough of New York City.
