Christina Perri became a star when her song “Jar of Hearts” was featured on So You Think You Can Dance in 2010 and reached the UK charts at #3. Her fame increased even more with “A Thousand Years,” the love theme for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, which was certified four times platinum. As a teen, she taught herself to play guitar and worked as a waitress at the Melrose Cafe in LA. In 2011, she dropped her first album, Lovestrong. Her older brother Nick also pursued music as he played guitar with Shinedown.
In 2017, Christina announced her engagement to reporter Paul Costabile and two months later revealed they were expecting their first child together; daughter Carmella was born January 2018. In July 2020 the couple announced they were having another baby but sadly it was stillborn in November that year. However, just over a year later May 2022 they shared news that they were expecting again!
