Christie Begnell is an Australian illustrator, artist, and writer, born on June 13, 1992. She gained recognition for her candid portrayal of her struggle with eating disorders in her acclaimed book “Me and My ED” (2017). In addition to this work, she has authored the illustrated self-help book “Sh*t I Wish They Taught Me in School” (2017).
Begnell’s journey began as a teenager when she developed severe anorexia, subsisting primarily on water, diet coke, and energy drinks while consuming only 300 calories. Today, she advocates for body positivity and self-care through her popular Instagram account with over 20,000 followers.
She is also known for sharing about relationships; Christie has been romantically involved with Rodrigo Nikolof.
