About Chris Matthews
Chris Matthews, born on May 25, 1985 in Washington, DC, United States, is a well-known basketball shooting coach. He has worked with top-tier NBA talent and also had a professional career as a shooting guard, playing for teams across Asia, Western Europe, and Russia. In February of 2022 he set a new 3-point shooting record.
Prior to his coaching career, Matthews played his final two years of college basketball at St. Bonaventure University where he broke many of the school’s shooting records. During his senior season, he was one of only 18 NCAA players to make over 100 three-pointers.
Outside of coaching and playing professionally abroad, Matthews has led basketball camps in impoverished areas of Washington D.C., helping to support the youth there. He has garnered a significant following on his LethalShooter Instagram account with over 2.6 million followers.
Matthews’ parents are Jeffery and Stephanie Winslow; his father served as a role model during his upbringing and encouraged him to pursue basketball professionally.
