Chopy Shakir Fatah, born on June 10, 1983 in Kirkuk, Iraq, is a Kurdish jazz singer who has garnered recognition within the communities of Kurdistan and the Kurdish diaspora. She began releasing albums in 2003 and has been featured in Iraqi, Turkish, Italian, and Dutch news media.

Notably, she was one of the first singers to perform in her hometown of Kirkuk after the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime. Prior to her music career taking off, Chopy moved to the Netherlands in 1988 and started attending a Dutch choir school in 1990.

She is known for sharing personal moments with her family on her chopyofficial Instagram account where she boasts over 600,000 followers. Her eponymous YouTube channel housing official music videos has amassed more than 130,000 subscribers.

In terms of personal life, she tied the knot with Chato Fado in 2017 and together they have a daughter named Livia.
