About Chizzy Akudolu
Chizzy Akudolu was born on October 7, 1973, in London, England. She is a TV actress who has been nominated for both a National Television Award and a Screen Nation Award. Her most famous role is as Mo Effanga in the popular television series Holby City. Prior to this role, she appeared as Cookie in Jinx, Angel in Dead Set, and had various parts in Gigglebiz and Stupid.
Akudolu gained her first television appearances after winning the BBC Talent Initiative, The Urban Sketch Showcase, in 2002. She made early appearances on shows such as 15 Storeys High and EastEnders.
In addition to her acting career, Akudolu wrote, produced and directed the short film 5 Minutes, which won Best Short Film at the Music Screen and Video Awards in 2014.
