About Cherith Baldry
Cherith Baldry is a British novelist, born on January 21, 1947 in Lancaster, England. She is best known for her work as a fantasy writer and for her contribution to the Warriors book series and Seekers series under the pen name of Erin Hunter. In addition to these popular series, she has also authored stand-alone novels such as Exiled from Camelot (2000) and The Reliquary Ring (2002).
Before pursuing a career in writing, Baldry worked as a teacher after completing her education at Manchester University and St. Anne’s College, Oxford. Her literary journey began with the publication of one of her first novels, The Book and the Phoenix (part of the Saga of the Six Worlds series), in 1989.
Baldry has also written several books within both the Eaglesmouth Trilogy and Abbey Series throughout her career.
She grew up in Lancaster before later starting a family with ex-husband Peter Baldry; together they have two sons named Will and Adam.
