Chantal Goya, born on June 10, 1946 in Vietnam, is a French pop singer who gained fame as a children’s performer in the mid-70s. She has sold more than 30 million albums, including hits like Allons Chanter Avec Mickey, Le Mysterieux Voyage and Absolument Goya. In addition to her successful singing career, she is also known for her acting roles in acclaimed films such as Masculin, Feminin (1966).
Goya and her family moved to Paris when she was just four years old. She began her music career in the mid-60s with ye-ye style singles like “C’est Bien Bernard.” Notably, she holds the record for most performances at the Palais des Congres in Paris with over 350 shows.
In 1966, Goya married composer and songwriter Jean-Jacques Debout.
