Chandra Wilson, born on August 27, 1969 in Houston, Texas, is a TV actress known for her role as Dr. Miranda Bailey on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy.
Wilson began her acting career at the Theater Under the Stars in Houston at the age of five.
In addition to her acting career, she worked as a bank temp across from the South Tower of the World Trade Center and was there during the September 11 attacks.
She has three children with her boyfriend whom she began dating in 1988: Serena (born in 1992), Joy (born in 1998), and Michael (born in 2005).
