Cathy Murphy (born August 7, 1967) is an English soap opera actress known for her roles as Julie Perkins, Trisha Taylor, and Lorna on the British soap opera EastEnders. She has also appeared in recurring roles on The House of Eliott, Casualty, Family Affairs, and Holby City.
Prior to her acting career, Murphy trained at London’s Sylvia Young Theatre School and made her screen debut in a 1982 made-for-TV movie titled Made in Britain. In addition to her television work, she has appeared in films such as The 7th Dimension (2009) and Welcome to the Punch (2013).
Originally from Essex, England, Murphy is the daughter of Catherine McKevitt Murphy. She entered into a long-term relationship in 2002 and is a mother to two daughters.
