Cathryn Damon was born on September 11, 1930 in Washington. She was a renowned TV actress, best known for her Emmy-winning portrayal of Mary Campbell on the ABC comedy series Soap in the late 1970s and early 1980s, as well as her role as Cassie Parker on the mid-1980s sitcom Webster.
Before venturing into television acting, Damon appeared in several Broadway productions including The Boys from Syracuse, Sweet Bird of Youth, and The Last of the Red Hot Lovers.
Tragically, she passed away at the age of fifty-six after battling ovarian cancer. She grew up alongside her sister in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington as daughters to Mary Cathryn Springer.
