About Catherine Webb
Catherine Webb is an English science fiction author, best known for her Carnegie Medal-nominated books, Timekeepers (2005) and The Extraordinary and Unusual Adventures of Horatio Lyle (2006). She was born on April 27, 1986, in England. Webb wrote her first novel, Mirror Dreams, at the age of fourteen.
Before gaining fame as a novelist, she primarily wrote in the young adult genre before transitioning to writing for adults. Webb graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2010 and also attended the London School of Economics.
Webb’s contributions to literature include pioneering a new genre called Urban Magic which combines fantasy elements with modern-day city environments. Additionally, she grew up in London with her father Nick Webb who also had a career as a writer.
