Carolyn Rodriguez, also known as “Medicine Girl,” is a Latin rapper and singer born on May 3, 1979, in the United States. She gained recognition in the music industry since her debut in 2007 and has released ten albums.

Prior to pursuing her career in music, Carolyn graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in accounting. Her father was a professor at the same college she attended.

An interesting fact about Carolyn is that her rendition of the reggae classic “Night Nurse” was featured in the 2012 film Filly Brown alongside actress Gina Rodriguez.
