Caroline Paul (born July 29, 1963) is an American author known for her memoir “Fighting Fire” and historical novel “East Wind, Rain.” She was one of the first female firefighters with the San Francisco Fire Department and later competed with the U.S. National Luge Team in Olympic trials. Paul’s third work, “Lost Cat,” was published in 2013. Her younger brother, Jonathan Paul, was an animal rights activist and her partner is fellow writer Wendy MacNaughton.
