About Carol Brink
Carol Brink (December 28, 1895) was an American author known for her contributions to young adult literature. Her notable work, Caddie Woodlawn, earned her prestigious awards such as the Newbery Medal and the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award. Some of her other well-known works include Baby Island, Goody O’Grumpity, and Lad with a Whistle.
Prior to her writing career, Brink pursued higher education at the University of California-Berkeley and the University of Idaho. In 1934, she achieved a significant milestone by publishing her first novel titled Anything Can Happen on the River.
Brink shared a family life with her husband Raymond and their two children: David and Norah.
