Carla Hall is an American chef and reality TV personality born on May 12, 1964 in Nashville, Tennessee. She gained recognition as a finalist on Bravo’s Top Chef competition and also appeared on Top Chef: All-Stars. Before her culinary career took off, she briefly worked as a model in Paris after starting out as an accountant. Growing up in Nashville, comfort food played a large role in her childhood.
In addition to her television appearances, Hall has also been the co-host of ABC’s cooking show The Chew. She is the author of several cookbooks, including Carla’s Comfort Foods: Favorite Dishes From Around the World.
Family-wise, her mother’s name is Audrey Hall and she married Matthew Lyons in 2006. Together they live in Washington, D.C., where Carla currently pursues various projects alongside her husband.
