About Carissa Moore
Carissa Moore is a professional surfer born on August 27, 1992, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has achieved numerous accolades throughout her career and is known for being the 2011 and 2013 ASP Women’s World Tour Champion as well as winning an impressive 11 NSSA Titles.
Prior to gaining widespread recognition, Moore won three tournaments in 2004: the Open Women’s, Explorer Women’s, and Middle School Girls events. In addition to her competitive success, she made history by becoming the youngest winner of the ASP Women’s World Tour in 2011. Furthermore, she earned her first gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo.
In terms of personal life, Moore was introduced to surfing at a young age by her father. In December of 2017, she married her high school sweetheart Luke Untermann.
