Candice Dupree is a professional basketball player who was born on August 16, 1984 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She plays as a forward and was selected 6th overall in the 2006 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky.
Before her professional career, Dupree played college basketball at Temple University where she was named Atlantic 10 defensive player of the year in 2006. She made an immediate impact in the WNBA, earning All-Star game selections in her first two seasons with Chicago.
In addition to her successful WNBA career, Dupree has also represented Team USA and won a gold medal at the 2010 FIBA World Championship. She comes from a close-knit family and was raised with a twin sister and a younger sister.
