About Brooke Raboutou
At just one year old, Brooke Raboutou began climbing with her parents’ help and by age 4 or 5, she was climbing regularly. This young rock climbing/bouldering prodigy achieved what many consider to be the impossible at 8 years old when she became the youngest person ever to climb a 5.14b route. She had set 7 records before reaching 12 years of age and joined Team ABC Boulder in 2005. To date, Brooke has competed in more than 35 international competitions across countries such as Spain, South Africa and France – all before becoming a teenager! Her incredible story was even featured on the THNKR Young Prodigies television program. Born into a family of world-class climbers (her parents Robyn Erbesfield and Didier Raboutou are both well renowned), it’s no wonder that her brother Shawn is also an avid climber! Just like Alex Honnold before her, Brooke decided to pursue rock climbing full-time after high school – now that’s impressive!
