Prior to her career in voice acting, Palencia studied music at the University of North Texas. She also served as a host for GameStop TV.
Palencia was born in Oklahoma and spent part of her upbringing in both Owasso, Oklahoma and La Ceiba, Honduras. She has a brother named Gino and is married to Paul Wingo. The couple has a son together.
In addition to her professional pursuits, she enjoys spending time with her dog Gibby and cat Morty. In late 2021, she traveled to Panama City with her son.
