Brigitte McMahon is a Swiss triathlete born on March 25, 1967. She gained international recognition after winning the gold medal in the inaugural Olympic triathlon at the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney. Prior to her Olympic success, McMahon had a successful career as a youth athlete.
Unfortunately, McMahon’s career was marred by controversy when she retired in 2005 following a two-year ban for doping violations. Despite this setback, her achievement in becoming an Olympic champion remains significant.
